The website - our on-line press kit, that shows and tells what BRIEFCASE BLUES is all about. We want more people to know about and visit our website - AND pass the web address all around to everyone they know as well, via email.

Our Facebook can be used to help add friends and get the word out (anyone say "email blast?") - and that's what we're after!

... we need you to spread the word. Anybody can tell everyone they know via email that we're still out there and rockin'. From private events to public, corporate conventions (a specialty of ours) and more - BRIEFCASE BLUES is the one tribute band to the Blues Brothers that is STILL out there making it happen, and have since 1983.
WE ARE NOW actively booking for September thru December 2010 and on into 2011 for national and international shows.

If nothing else, you can say, "...ever seen these guys before...?"...and they can pass it on to their friends, and so on. BRIEFCASE BLUES™ is still going strong -
and 2010 is our 27TH year!
We begin the year with the annual Mardi Gras Masquerade for the Dallas Chapter of the AMERICAN RED CROSS, this Saturday night at Dallas' House Of Blues. On February 16th - the REAL Mardi Gras - come meet with us at:

BRIEFCASE BLUES™ is going global again - THIS time with a bid for a national television spot! The boys were recently contacted by media group Pocket Change NYC to do their version of the the SAFE AUTO commercial jingle. After a writing session by Graham Richards of Richards Brothers Music, a quick trip to Garland Recording Studios (thanks to producer Tom Jordan), the audio was done - click the above button to hear it!
THE NEXT THING: the video will be finished and posted here about the 5th of November - and will also be seen on YouTube. Looks even better than it sounds!
NOW FOR THE BEST PART: we will be having the video VOTED upon by YOU - and everybody in the WORLD - ON NOVEMBER 26th. If there are enough votes, BRIEFCASE BLUES™ will be awarded the contract for the next SAFE AUTO television commercial!

BRIEFCASE BLUES™ regrets the cancellation of Thursday night's show (last night) at the Dallas Arboretum. The weather conspired, at the last hour, to dump over an inch of rain on the venue, flooding the electrics and all - it just wasn't safe for all concerned. Our best goes out to Cris Emrich, Terri Lendecker, Ruthie Rogers and all the staff and management at Dallas Arboretum for setting things up for us - plus Bobby Clouse and the gang at Pro Audio Dallas for getting drenched in the bargain...
This weekend we hope to announce a re-set for the show within the next few weeks - stay tuned, and we'll email everybody that we can.

BRIEFCASE BLUES™ - the longest-running concert tribute to the Blues Brothers - will headline at BLUESFEST on Saturday, Sept 19th at Riverwoods, Camden, Bradley Ferry Road. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the American Cancer Society's RELAY FOR LIFE.
Gates open from 3:30 p.m. to midnight, and BRIEFCASE takes the stage at 9pm. Gate Tickets $10.00 per person (Kids 15 and under get in Free - Food and Beverages sold separately)

The 30 May show at Camden, AR has been POSTPONED to a later date in June, announced Gary Rebis today of SPECTRA-TECH, one of the prime sponsors of the upcoming concert. The cause of the postponement was due to the excessive rains that have plagued the Arkansas River area - and subsequent flooding of the venue at RIVERWOODS.
The show will be reset for a weekend in June, possibly as early as 6 June.

Well - the most recent shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth area were big HITS! First, the fundraiser at TEXAS WESLEYAN LAW SCHOOL on April 11 - then the almost all-nighter at SAMBUCA in ADDISON on May 2! We're still waiting for folks to send us pics from those events - so get them in, folks! (P.S.: the email to send pics is jblues@briefcaseblues.com - or to reach us for anything else...)
Coming up on May 30 - if you can make it to CAMDEN ARKANSAS - we will be headlining the RELAY FOR LIFE Cancer Society Benefit. They will have us doing on-air spots on the local radio stations ... more to come next week on that but, in the meantime, here's the poster for the event...

BRIEFCASE has been doing some traveling this year but, thanks to a near-record turnout last September at the Dallas Arboretum (where over 2,000 folks came out to see us), the word is out that "Jake" and "Elwood" are alive and well here in Dallas.

25 years – can ya believe it?
You’d better. BRIEFCASE BLUES™ is the only full-band tribute to Jake & Elwood Blues that has been around since 1983 (as of last September 24th), and we got to celebrate it IN CONCERT in Dallas TX, right where we started “way back when”.
The show was at the Dallas Arboretum, and it was a ball for everyone there – nearly 2,000 Dallas folks, some of whom still remember us from as far back as the 1980s. Anyone remember SCHOONERS or FROGGY BOTTOMS?…
2008 was especially great because of travel! In June we performed for the wedding of James P. Pinkerton, a regular panelist on the FOX News program Fox News Watch and White House Senior Staffer Elizabeth Dial in Washington D.C., then found ourselves doing a concert in the city of Bell Gardens, CA (east L.A. County, baby!) for their Independence Day Celebration on July 3rd. Our continuing relationship with Dallas HOUSE OF BLUES has kept us busy too, and it is a true honor every time we are there (kudos to Senior Sales Manager Geoffrey Taylor and everyone else at HOB). Let’s face it: we’ll go anywhere people love the blues.
2009 will find us at many new places – and some old familiar ones as well. More pics are on the way - more videos to show (just look up our YouTube channel here) - and we are just pleased to be still out there and "doin' it" for folks worldwide.

By now you can see that BRIEFCASE BLUES™ has been around for a while - considering that as of the 24th of this month we will have been "at it" since that date, 1983. That's twenty-five years, a fact to which NO OTHER BLUES BROTHERS tribute group can lay claim.
More pics are on the way - more videos to show (just look up BRIEFCASE BLUES on YouTube) - and we are just pleased to be still out there and "doin' it" for folks worldwide...

YOWEE!!! - and HELLO AGAIN, WORLD!
At LAST - a new look for the BRIEFCASE BLUES™ world-wide website! Now you can keep up with the world's longest-running tribute to the original "brothers in the Blues", see streaming video and even check out LOADS of pics - culled from the show's 24-year history - from 1983 to TODAY!
We will be adding more pics to the gallery over the next week; we MIGHT even categorize them by decade, there are SO MANY! Watch on the video page, too, for a "teaser" video...a short clip from one of our recent corporate videos, in which Jake gets sprung from "SING-SING" PRISON, just to head to a corporate chili cook-off in Mexico!
